Circus-in-Education
Suitcase Circus is well-regarded in the field of education.
Founder Reg Bolton was a pioneer of the circus-in-education concept and went on to write his PhD thesis, drawing from his life’s work in this area, entitled “Why Circus Works”. This can be found at RegBolton.Org.

Suitcase Circus & Son
Reg's son Joe grew up within the burgeoning field of social-circus working extensively alongside his father at early community circus projects around the world.
Joe Bolton has continued to develop the educational aspects of the Suitcase Circus program through many ongoing collaborative projects with schools and community organisations.

Our Focus
The physiological benefits of circus training, the way in which a good circus program fosters positive social values in students along with the potential to motivate learning across the curriculum have become the major emphases of the services we provide.
"It's all of us, versus gravity!"

Tertiary Education
Joe Bolton has provided intensive circus skills units for UWA Extension and Murdoch University Theatre Department.
At Total Theatre, the Annie Stainer School of Physical Theatre, Joe was the central circus skills trainer.
He first taught units in circus arts at WAAPA (ECU Mount Lawley) starting in 1992 and is invited back from time to time to teach masterclasses for students of Acting and Music Theatre.
